I can't contain my joy. Today we finally shipped to Colombia the donations for the project Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Project, a humanitarian Rotary project that helps alleviate hunger affecting thousands of vulnerable Venezuelans, the second-largest refugee crisis in the world after Syria.
We started collecting shoes, socks, and hats at the Interact Club of Hancock High School, due to the covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions we weren't able to send the donation to Colombia. Today, thanks to the Rotary Club of Bay St Louis and the help of Anne and Mattmembers of the Rotary Club of Mid-City New Orleans , PDG Robert, and his wife, Jamie we were able to ship two big boxes full of shoes, hats, and socks for the Venezuelan Refugees.
This is an extraordinary project is led by Rotarian Cristal Montañéz from the Rotary E-Club of Houston, If you would like to learn more, and possibly donate to contribute to the Phase 5 of the project, please visit this http://bit.ly/hopeforvenezuelanrefugees
