Phase 5 Hope For Venezuelan Refugees “Soup Meal” Program - Every day, thousands of Venezuelans stream into Colombia through “trochas.” These improvised crossings trails along the Venezuela-Colombia border have become the only access between the two countries for Venezuelan traveling on foot. They are exposed to extremely high-risk and vulnerable situations. This family walked 135 miles from the border city of Cúcuta to El Alto de Pamplona. Rosmery Mendoza at Centro de Apoyo Mery receives them with a bowl of chicken and vegetables soup and a warm drink.
