Phase 8 Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Project Soup Meal Program (period 5-6) February 6, 2024.- Refugees in transit through Albergue Vanessa are welcomed with a nourishing bowl of chicken soup and arepa prepared by the shelter's dedicated team of volunteers. The shelter offers a humble space to rest, ensuring that these individuals are protected from the cold weather of Pamplona during their overnight stay.

Early in the morning, volunteers extend their support by providing a wholesome breakfast to equip the refugees for the challenging continuation of their journey towards other Colombian cities or neighboring countries.

These volunteers' invaluable efforts have provided sustenance and contributed significantly to saving lives and dignifying the passage of refugees on the humanitarian route known as "la ruta del caminante" or "the walkers' path." Imagining the scenarios in regions without these volunteers' prompt and compassionate response underscores the importance of their work in ensuring the well-being and dignity of those in transit.
