The Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Team extends our appreciation to Anniela Carracedo, who in conjunction with the Interact Club of Hancock High School, Rotary Club of Bay St Louis, Anne and Matt, members of the Rotary Club of Mid-City New Orleans, PDG Robert and his wife Jamie, collected and shipped to Colombia two boxes full of shoes, socks, and caps for the Hope For Venezuelan Refugees team to distribute among Venezuelan refugees and walkers “caminantes” in the shelters assisted by our project on the Cúcuta Pamplona humanitarian route.
On June 2, 2021, our project manager Henry Alberto Sandoval interviewed one of the walkers “caminantes” as Yunior of Albergue Fundar 1 distributed shoes, caps, and two pairs of socks per refugee while Vanessa Yurley Pelaez Bautista at Albergue Vanessa distributed socks to the children refugees.
Thank you, Anniela and the Rotary team, for serving to change lives.
