Phase 9 Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Project Soup Meal Program, October 2024. Our team continues to work with the coordinators and volunteers at Albergue Vanessa to ensure that refugees in transit “caminantes” have access to food and overnight shelter as a fundamental human right.

According to monitoring the flow of refugees and migrants in transit through Colombia at the protection route points in Norte de Santander from September to October, there is a consistent flow of approximately 57 people in transit daily. It was identified that more than 29% are minors, including unaccompanied or separated children between the ages of 6 and 17. Additionally, around 22% of the population in transit is entering the country for the first time. This information comes from the Interagency Group on Mixed Migration Flows (GIFMM), published on the R4V platform reports 144 & 145.
