Phase 9: Hope for Venezuelan Refugees Project Hot Meal Program, October 2024.

With insecurity escalating in Venezuela, the U.S. and its regional partners must brace for an imminent surge in migration. Many Venezuelans, disillusioned after a fraudulent presidential election and intensified government repression, are now making plans to leave. To address this looming humanitarian crisis, the U.S. and neighboring countries must prepare and collaborate on a coordinated o response to the coming wave of migration.

Our Hope For Venezuelan Refugees team continues to work with the coordinators at Fundación Hermanos Caminantes to ensure that refugees in transit, or “caminantes,” have access to food as a fundamental human right.
