The Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Team, in conjunction with volunteers at Puntos de Apoyo Hermanos Caminantes Venezolanos and Colombianos in Pamplonita, and Fundación Marta Duque and Albergue Vanessa in Pamplona, distributed children’s clothes to Venezuelan girls and boys caminantes in transit on the humanitarian route “la ruta del caminante” thanks to donations received from Action4Help.
According to the Regional Refugee and Migrant Response Plan for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela, almost 5.9 million have left Venezuela. 4.87 million are seeking refuge across the region in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panamá, Perú, and the Caribbean, reaching a saturation point. Colombia continues to be the host country of the largest number of refugees and migrants from Venezuela, hosting an estimated 1.8 million refugees and migrants and 845,000 Colombian binational returnees.
