With a non-diversified economy, the country struggles to meet its nutritional needs. Venezuela suffers the second-highest level of hunger in South America, after Bolivia, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.

Hope For Venezuelan Refugees is working with volunteers at Albergue Vanessa to provide refugees in transit “caminantes” access to food as a fundamental human right.
