These caminantes are from different cities in Venezuela and walked for days before arriving at Albergue Vanessa in Pamplona, Colombia. Food insecurity and hunger continue to be a priority among Venezuelan refugees in transit “caminantes” and migrants.

According to the R4V Inter-Agency Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela, as of April 2022, there are approximately 5.06M Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean and 6.11M Venezuelan refugees and migrants in the world.
