Food insecurity and hunger continue to be a priority among Venezuelan refugees in transit “caminantes” and migrants fleeing the Venezuelan regimen.

Our team is very grateful to the Chapelwood Foundation for awarding a global grant to initiate Phase 7 Hope For Venezuelan Refugees Project Soup Program. We are very thankful for the matching support of a very dear and special individual donor.

Every day, volunteers at Albergue Vanessa cook a big pot of nutritious chicken soup with vegetables, arepas (Venezuelan traditional corn bread), and a warm drink for our caminantes.
